Demand Analysis for Digital Profiles
Faced with the challenge of putting Spain at the digital forefront, the ONTSI (National Observatory of Technology and Society) is embarking on a critical mission: to analyze the technological horizon to identify emerging digital profiles. This analysis aims to enhance its analyses with updated data, offering a panoramic view of how Spain can climb positions in the global digital ranking. The task is complex, but essential to design policies that ensure training aligned with the growing demand for digital talent in the Spanish business sector.
WhiteBox proposes a biphasic strategy. First, one of DataMarket's most valued datasets is leveraged, consisting of job offers from leading platforms. This information is analyzed to distill a precise ontology, with the help of open source natural language processing (NLP) tools, such as spaCy. This enables precise classification of job offers, identifying both the technical and soft skills required, as well as the benefits and compensation offered. The result is an interactive dashboard in Power BI, which not only presents this information clearly and accessibly but also allows ONTSI to monitor the evolution of the demand for digital talent in great detail.
This innovative approach has made it possible to identify fascinating patterns, becoming a rich source of information for ONTSI analyses, driving Spain's digital strategy. The dashboard, updating data in real time, has become an indispensable tool for making informed and agile decisions in the field of digitalization, while allowing ONTSI to gauge the Spanish ICT sector, one of the most dynamic sectors, having created the most jobs in recent years.
- More than 4 million job offers initially analyzed.
- A constant flow of 2,000 new offers every day.
